Union Bus Station.

January 20, 2014

This 1940 (or 1941, both come up as the build date) Art Deco building closed late last year and has been bought by a developer that says the building won’t be razed. Oklahoma City has a long history of not preserving historic architecture so hopefully the bus station will have new life with the resurgent downtown.

Great image! I love these old buildings. I lived in OKC as a teen and took those buses to and from college in the late 60’s.Again it a great glimpse into the past.

Thanks Jim! I’ve used that station a time or two as well. I hope they do something cool with the building, it’s a neat piece of architecture.
